Last Baronial, Dingell told Detroit station WDIV that it was in fact him tweeting on the account.
His wife, Rep. Debbie Dingell, who was elected into his seat when he retired, confirmed the claim.
"John Dingell tin can say, 'When yous're 92 you can get abroad with proverb a lot of things that the residuum of united states of america can't,'" she said.
On Wednesday, Dingell posted a last tweet earlier dying from complications from prostate cancer.
"The Lovely Deborah is insisting I residue and stay off here, but after long negotiations we've worked out a bargain where she'll continue upwards with Twitter for me as I dictate the letters," he wrote, referencing his wife. "I want to cheers all for your incredibly kind words and prayers. You're not done with me only yet."
Dingell died on Th, aged 92.
